Position Overview

Entrepreneurs don't wait for permission—they identify opportunities, solve difficult problems, and build businesses that create lasting value.

As an Entrepreneur in Residence at Mix Tape Ventures, you'll work directly alongside executive leadership to identify opportunities, validate ideas, launch new ventures, and help scale businesses across our portfolio.

Every week is different. You might evaluate an acquisition, launch a new eCommerce brand, build an AI-powered workflow, improve operations, or help one of our companies solve its next big challenge.

What You'll Do

• Research new business opportunities, industries, and acquisition targets.
• Help evaluate and validate new venture ideas using market and financial analysis.
• Support strategic initiatives across Mix Tape Ventures and our portfolio companies.
• Build and improve operational processes using technology, automation, and AI.
• Collaborate with founders and executive leadership on high-impact projects.
• Develop business cases, presentations, financial models, and growth strategies.
• Assist with launching new products, brands, and business initiatives.
• Solve complex business problems through analytical thinking and execution.

What Success Looks Like

Successful Entrepreneurs in Residence don't simply complete assignments—they create momentum.

Within your first year, you'll be expected to:

• Lead meaningful strategic initiatives.
• Deliver measurable improvements across portfolio companies.
• Identify new growth opportunities.
• Build repeatable systems and processes.
• Become a trusted partner to company leadership.
• Contribute to launching and scaling new ventures.

• Excellent written and verbal communication.

• Curious, resourceful, and continuously learning.
• High degree of ownership, accountability, and professionalism.
• Experience with business strategy, operations, marketing, finance, consulting, startups, or technology is a plus—but not required.
